Hi

I don't know if windows explorer ever did this, but how come it doesn't
draw the tree "branches" in the folder pane? regedit does it. Is there
a registry setting to enable this? thanks

Windows Explorer folder pane is blank - grayed out

Sorry, let me clarify: the folder pane isn't blank. I get the folder
tree, I just don't get the line drawing (maybe I never did)

i.e.,

C
Program files
Windows
System32

but not

C
|__Program files
|__Windows
|__System32

I regedit, when I the tree "branches" line drawing in the left pane. I
expect the same in Windows Explorer.

Hi Ramesh,

Wes,

I assumed the same "Windows Explorer folder pane is blank - grayed out" when
reading darius' first post. He explained it well in his second post only :-)
