Windows explorer keeps resetting

A

Azimuth

Whenever I rightclick on some icons on the desktop and in
the quicklaunch bar the icons and the taskbar etc
dissappear then appear again a few seconds later. I
assume that this is the windows explorer rebooting, but
why, whats the problem. I have ran norton for viruses and
spybot and adaware but nothing, all appears to be clean.
I though it might only be certain icons say shortcuts,
but it is not limited to one particular icon, it reboots
on shortcuts, execute files etc. Anyone got any ideas,
Im lost without my right clicking ability.
