When I try right-clicking in Windows Explorer and go to 'New' to create

a new folder, Explorer starts hanging. I can use other items on the
menu, such as view and refresh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers -
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

Right click causes an error and crashes Explorer.exe after installing
Windows XP SP2 - http://www.winxptutor.com/sp2/divxcrash.htm

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace
objects - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm

How many items are in the New list. If you don't need all those items, you
can disable them from the New list using TweakUI.

That will shorten the list.

Look at my response to your first post on this. Don't make duplicate posts.
If you can't find a post search for it using Google groups advanced search,
searching on your name in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.
