Windows Explorer freeze

I've got an Acer laptop with XP pro and the latest patches. When I click
on the file or edit menu of explorer it freezes up. Also, when I try to
right click on a desktop icon it will freeze. I can launch programs by
double clicking. I can delete program by dragging but not by hitting the
delete key. When I use the delete key it causes explorer to freeze. All
other programs appear to work normally. I use Spybot, AdAware,
EasyCleaner, and Norton Anti virus. daily. I've tried going back to
restore points that I know worked but they are not available. The
explorer works fine in my guest account. Acer has told me to reload the
complete system but I don't want to have to do that if it's not
necessary. Help.

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

I did as suggested and found the problem. THANKS. It appears that a
program "Drop Zip" was causing the problem. A program I no longer use so
I will remove. Thanks again.

HI,
I notice you said that you use EasyCleaner "daily." From some of the MVP
posts I've read here, I've been scared away from using EasyCleaner on XP (I
did use it with 95 and 98, though not "daily.) I'm no MVP, but I do wonder
whether that registry cleaner could be causing you some problems.
