Windows Explorer fails to read CD contents

Hello,
When I insert a cd (with pictures) into the drive windows explorer suggests
cd preparing the disk. It's not possible to view contents via explorer.
However I can see the pictures on CD when I use Media Center Application.
My OS ver: Home Premium

Does anybody have an idea about the reason?

No, I've found other threads about this problem. So it's software related
problem. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to read the contents using Media Center
application.
