WINDOWS EXPLORER ERROR?

everytime i try to open IE, control panel, recycle bin etc i receive this message-windows explorer has encounter a problem and needs to close. sorry for the incovenience
the error contains appname:explore.exe, appver:6.0.2800.1106, modver:5.1.2600.1106, offset:00013887
please if anyone knows how to solve this problemlet me know thanks

I am encountering the same problem, so would be interested in any response you get. Some suggestions I have had so far:
corruptted hard disk
recently added new software - try removing via control panel or
possibly a virus/trojan/spyware.
???
