Windows Explorer Error

Windows Explorer when activated displays message "Windows Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close".

AppName: explorer.exe
AppVersion: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVersion: 7.0.2600.2180
Offset: 00037fd4

Running XP Pro w/SP2

Can anyone help with a fix for this?
