I am running XP Pro SP2 with all current updates with AMD +2200, 1 Gig RAM.
When ever I enter into control panel (this only happens in CP) i get a
Windows Explorer message saying "Has encountered a prob and needs to close".
I have sent the error report to Microsoft several times but I cannot find
the report on my machine where it says it is. I did notice I have an Icon in
Control panel that says Xear 3D, CMI Audio Config which I dont feel belongs
there. My Audio is controlled by Via AC 97. I am wondering if there is an
incompatable application there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you,
Jeff

Did you start noticing this error right after you installed your audio
drivers?

If so you may want to try to uninstall then run ctrl panel & see if it will
still give you errors...

GLuck!

No, I haven't done anything with the Audio driver. And to elaberate, the
error report states "Application error Faulting Application explorer.exe,
version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module ntdll.dll and ntshrui.dll".

thank you for your reply Delbert
