Windows Explorer defaults

How can I configure my Windows Explorer so that the
default view of a directory listing is the Detail view?
I pretty much never want to see the default Icon view.

Hi

With Windows Explorer open, go to View and enable Details - then go to Tools>Folder Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. Restart Windows Explorer.
