Hello,

I have a perplexing situation. I have a DVD that has a number of files
on it. In the Windows
Explorer (I'm running SP2 of WinXP), I bring up the DVD drive. I get a
listing of files sorted by name. However when I click on the column for
'Date Modified', nothing happens. I can click to sort by Size, Type or
Name. However date sorting has no effect. Is this a bug with WinXP or
is there a "trick" to fix this?

TIA
Mike McWhinney

NO "trick". Copy ALL files on DVD to HARD DRIVE. THEN try to sort them
out. It will work then, Mike. :-) So long as your DVD can be copied.

That's an interesting idea...but probably not the optimal one. I just
thought of a better one:

Start | Run | cmd.exe

dir J: /od /p

where J: is the CD/DVD drive letter. Good ole DOS ;-)
