When opening explore ( file manager), is it possible to change the default
folder or directory that it goes to. Right now it defaults to "c:\Documents
and Setting.....Start Menu".

Edit the shortcut's "Target" to read
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,E:\
where E:\ is the drive and or directory you wish to expand.

You can right click the Explorer icon and change where Explorer goes to when
opening. Two of my favorites are:

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e, C:\
(hint - C:\ designates the C Drive to be expanded)

You can Copy & Paste either of these into the 'Target:' window in your
Explorer properties window.
