Windows DVD maker

I added three seperate movie clips to same Win Movie Maker project to put on
one DVD - gave each clip a title (overlayed) - well moviemaker describes it
as a 'Title' -
but after cutting it to DVD via Win DVD maker - they all become one title

Not only can't i choose to play a title - they aren't even marked as
chapters - so there is no way to play any title apart from the first one

Obviously this is no good to anyone at all - have i missed something here -
or is it just a piece of poop & i'm wasting my time?

Nope - whilst the word 'Title' barely appears in the help file - it just
manages to define what one is - which is a program or film (i have 3
programs on one DVD) - 'chapters' are what titles are broken down into

either way - there doesn't seem to be a way to add titles or chapters to DVD
maker - which makes it pretty well redundant - unless someone else can see

Movie Maker is for creating individual video titles, which may consist of
other titles (sliced and diced) merged into one, still only one movie. To
create a video DVD with more than one title, use Windows DVD maker or Nero
to bring multiple movies onto your DVD, and create your menu from which
individual titles can be played.

....And don't forget to choose "play menu first" in options of DVD maker.
That may have been your problem.

You seem to be suggesting Windows DVD maker can create titles/chapters (and
not a total waste of disc space)

Can you tell me where abouts in Windows DVD maker you can include titles
and/or chapters - I seem to be missing the obvious?

After you add titles (more than one please) and click next at the bottom of
the window, you are at the menu page. Click preview at the top of the page.
The default menu background is actually opening scenes from the first title.
Very nice menu as a matter of fact. You can click "play" or "scenes" as two
options at the bottom of the menu window. If you click on scenes you get
another menu display with boxes showing a scene from titles which allows you
to pick title. It is so glaringly apparent on my application, I don't know
how you miss it unless your application is totally screwed up. If you are
not seeing same thing then it is.

Point is if you are importing an amalgamation of many movies concatenated in
movie maker as one, don't expect DVD maker to split them into titles or
scenes as it refers to them.

Chapters..I don't know, never cared. I guess another poster gave a link for
chapter creation in a previous post.

you know, I have the same question as JethroUK. I must be missing the obvious
to, unless Cameron Snyder doesn´t exactely gets our question... (no offence
ofcourse).

Yes!
I found it! When making the dvd in dvd-maker, you simply have to click "add
item". Then select a second moviemaker file (it will be found in
C:/users/"your name"/video´s). They will then appear as two different
chapters on your dvd.
