Hello,
I have an Internet domain www.timelessnet.net" which
happens to be the same one that windows 2000 with AD has.
recently I subscribed to an email service from an ISP,
but found out I was not able to receive mail. I can ping
mail.timelessnet.net from outside my network, but not
from inside it. I can ping my other domains from inside
my network with no problems. I think my windows domain
is tying to answer for my Internet domain. I tried to
add an A record for my Internet domain, but it did not
solve the problem. I would appreciate any input you may
give me.

Thanks a lot
Ollie

Usually for your internal domain name you would prefix your Internet Domain
name such as
"local.mydomain.com"
this way you avoid the problems you are having.

Did you also add an MX-record in DNS-server for your mail?
