windows defender

hi,
i have the same problem with other guys here but even when i did every thing
have been shown here, nothing've changed.
one problem is like this. when i installed windows defender for my windows,
it initially worked very well and it automatically updated regularly and my
office 2003 as well. but since i ran the windows live care beta version, it's
become bad and it cannot update any more even when i go to windows update
website or microsoft update website. it showed the message like this:
windows defender was unable to complete the update
0x80240022. the wrong diskette is in the drive. insert %2 (volume serial
number: %3 into drive %1
note that i still update security and hotfix for my windows xp professional
very well but i cannot update for office2003 and windows defender (i had
updated them before)
so, please tell me what's happenning with my windows defender and my office
2003?

Uninstalling WD and installing the latest build "fixed" my update failures
and im at definition version 1.14.1408.8

I don't have an answer for that specific error message.

Can you go to Help, about in Windows Defender, and check the topmost version
number displayed:

1.1.1347.0

is the current Windows Defender version. If you are still on 1051, I'd
suggest visiting the download center and downloading the newer version--it
is not yet coming in automatically.
