Windows Defender Pro error.

I have windows Vista Premium and everytime I open or try to use Windows
Defender, I get an error message, application failed to intialize, handle is
invalied, then gives me error code, 0x800700006. Can anyone help me with this
problem?? I would really aperciate it.
