The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry,
but the specified file is not in a registry file format.

Delete all the possible folders in Windows/Software Distribution.

Google is your friend.

I'm always uneasy with this type of situation. It's a language barrier
thing. I just don't know what goes through your mind when you read my
instructions. I'm afraid I'll take too much for granted and we would do more
harm than good. Do you have a knowledgeable friend available who can help
you with your computer?

Just out of interest. Do you have any problems following the sugestion in my
post?

Do you run Ccleaner and Dial-a-Fix?

After you finish the run, do you reboot and went to check for the updates ??

Tell us what happen.
