Windows Defender interface with Security Center

Is there any chance that Windows Defender will be interfaced with the
Security Center on Windows XP SP2?
 
I can't speak for Microsoft, but I think the answer to the question as
posted is no.

I think it would take a rev to the OS--i.e. SP3--to make that kind of
change.

I don't know whether that is possible, or likely, or not. The Security
Center in Vista does include a category for antispyware, and Windows
Defender interfaces with that, fwiw.
