Windows defender can't get updated definition and Windows update fail too

Hi,

This seems to be an intermittent problem with the MS servers. It happen to
me twice and I've seen others with the same problem. Did you try the Try
Again option?, it worked for me the thrid time I tried it. You could indeed
have a problem, but thought I reply just to let you know.

Perhaps it's because your clock is wrong.

I had that problem with XP and only thing that fixed it was the SP1 update.
I tried all of everybodies suggestions and the problem fixes under the
update etc but Vista doesn't have that option as far as I know.

I am re-installing Windows Vista. However, every time I try to update the
Windows defender it can't get updated definition. In additional, Windows
update fail too. Why?
