Will WD still work in W2000 Pro....It say's it doesnt support it but can you
use it anyway?

Windows 2000 is a 7 years old operating system i.e. obsolete.
Buy Windows Vista and live in peace.
 
not exactly "peace" takes alot to understand Vista
besides it still doesn't support alot of programs
wait a yr then buy Vista when everyone catches up to it or Microsoft issues
a security pak for it

As Anonymous Bob mentions, this was answered in the other thread.

The short answer is no. It won't install. If you have the technical
ability and are curious to try it, there are things you can try to see
whether it will work--as detailed in the other thread.
