Windows can't load the user's profile

Hi! Would really appreciate if someone can tell me what
to do when you start your computer and windows XP is
trying to load but there is an error message that says:

"Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged
you on with the default profile for the system.
Detail - A required privilege is not held by the client"

After the error message appears, there is a timer and it
automatically restarts the computer after which the same
error message appears again. This cycle keeps continuing
and I can't even go into windows to do anything let alone
to change the user's profile.

Thanks for any and all your help.

This means that the user profile has gotten corrupted. Go into Safe Mode
by repeatedly tapping F8 as the computer is starting up. This will get
you to the menu where you can choose Safe Mode. Log in as
Administrator. If you have Home Edition, the default password is blank.
Once in, go to the User applet in Control Panel and create a new user
account. Copy data from your old user account over to the new one.
Since the old one is corrupted, I wouldn't suggest just copying the
entire profile, just the data. Then go into Regular Mode and log into
the new account. If all is well and your data is there (and you may
need to take ownership of the files), delete the corrupted user
profile.
