windows cannot open any files

i was playing a game that i downloaded from msn game zone, when my computer
froze up, i shut the power off for a minute and then turne it back on at
that time my adaware program started flashing a bunch of things on the
screen, now windows says that it cant open any file on my system, i cant even
get into the regisrty editor
all of the icons on my screen show the internet explorer icon and windows
doesnt know how to open anything
i was told tolook for a key in the regisrtey hkey-classes_root.lnk
i cant even get into system restore without getting the same message
windows does not know what program to use to open this file
please help me
 
the only program the runs properly on my computer is msn anuthing email and
messanger, i can kinda get my notepad to open and when i try to copy to it ,
it copies in one big straight line, will this make any difference?
 
i dont understand what i am suppossed to do here. i have no merge option on
my noyepad, and where am i supposed to save this file to my desk top?
 
u just keep giving me the ame link, i have been asking what i do with this
but i dont et an answer, where i am i to save this and i dont have a merge
option
