I'm trying to open a jpg file, by double clicking it, but get message 'Windows cannot file in...' giving the path to where the file is!!! I can open Word docs like this just fine, but the jpg file doesn't open. Have tried moving it to a different folder, but same prob

I also seem to get a little pop-up error message box with message 'Error opening database: 2000' as well

Any ideas

Thanks in advance.

Look at your file association for that type of file.

Thankyou for the answer Henri, but it is not the file association that is the problem. The correct program (image viewer - I am running Windows XP) is being invoked to open the file, but it claims not to be able to find the file itself. As all I am doing is double-clicking on the file itself, it really has no excuse for not finding it. The error message box spells out the precise path and filename, but claims it does not exist!!.

If you have any further ideas, feel free to suggest them.

Thanks,
Gerry.

Just to say that I can now get round this (thanks to Wes on the Windows XP Newsgroup) by choosing a different program (other than Image Expert Viewer) to open my jpg's with. Image Expert Viewer should work, but it doesn't - don't know why.
