windows calendar for windows vista

I am unable to sync my calendar to my ipod. I also get a message that says
"windows calendar has stopped working". Is there a problem with the calendar
program in Windows Vista? I'm able to sync my pictures and address book to my
ipod but not the calendar. Any suggestions?
