Windows authentication and loading an application using integrated

hi,

i have a document management application which uses my windows logon ID to
authenticate my login to that application, ie. It checks my user account and
checks the windows login and if they match I am in.......

However, a colleague is requested his logon id and password every time he
opens up the application and it should not do this.......does anyone know if
there is a setting that needs changing on his desktop PC?

Somewhere along the line the authentication is not being passed properly.
I've spoken to the vendors and they cant see why this should be a problem.

For your info: I'm working in a corporate environment where we log onto the
network daily using windows, and we all use Windows XP.

Hope that makes sense

Hi There,
Try this and see whether it works

Right click on the Document Management Application and see whether you get
an option which says "Run As". If you do click on it and that should open
another window where you will have the option to change the user name and
password.

Let me know if that helps ya .

Hi Vinod,

Thanks for the reply but I should have mentioned the application is web
based so I cant right click on it as such. Furthermore, when I log into my
colleagues machine using my username and password the application opens up
fine in IE. Again, windows is not passing his credentials properly

it's optimised to work in IE only

Any more ideas?
