Windows application using Crystal Report help!help!

Hello All,

I'm trying to deploy my windows-based application using
crystal report. i package the setup by including the
crystal report file, the exe file, and two merge modules
for the crystal report (crystal_managed2003.msm and
crystal_Database_Access2003.msm). when i installed it on a
different computer before running it. i verify the
neccessary files was added. when i ran it, it
return "Cannot find KeycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode."

Now, i know this file exist b/c i check it. it's locate in
the common files folder. what i can't understand is why
it's returning the error if the file exist. can someone
help? i have been troubleshoot this for 3 days and i'm
still out of luck. please help!!! thnx!

Make sure you enter a valid registration code in the License Key part of the
MSM properties box. If you select Help, About and then look for Crystal
Reports in VS 2003, you can copy and paste it out of there. This should
help, but let me know if you still have problems.

Thank you for responding quickly William. I add the
regwiz.msm for crystal report and add the license. i
rebuild the set project. it still didn't work. do i need
to reboot take affect?

No, I think the license key is the problem. You shouldn't need to reboot
it. You need to exclude the first part of the key if you copy and paste from
the About Screen...you only want numbers in there. I don't know why this
is, you'd think you could just copy and paste striaght, but after my last
post, I remembered that we needed to chop of the letters at the beginning.
I'm not in the office now, so I can't tell you the number of numbers, but I
can post it tomorrow morning...I think it's 10 numbers only, but I'm
guessing.

Rebooting never hurts, but I don't think that's the problem b/c we do enough
installs and don't need to reboot.. Try just the numbers and see if that
doesn't work.
If not, I'll get back to you in the morning.
