Windows - Application Error

The above message happens everytime I click on a text document to open it. Any ideas on a fix I've tried service packing my PC but that didn't help

Try this. Go to Start | Run | regedit | OK and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.txt\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}

Make a backup of this key: Registry | Export Registry File... | name it and save.

Then double click the right-hand side entry (Default) and select the Data when the window comeas up. Hit Delete then OK. Do the same thing here:
