Windows 98 to 2k upgrade fails;

Dave Turner

I keep getting a corrupt drive error message when I try to
upgrade from windows 98 to win2k, I've mirroed the suspect
bad drive to a new drive and still get teh error when I
attemp to run the upgrade. Is there a switch that I can
use to tell it not to check the drive when I run the 2000
setup? For example in windows 98 you can use the /is /ih
commands.

I know it will run fine if I can get by the disk checking
portion of the upgrade.

Thanks for the help.

Can't you run a chkdsk before you do the upgrade? Even if the disk is not
suspect, the file system might be.
