Windows 7 Pro x32 and DX20.exe problems

I am running Windows 7 Pro x32 on my Toshiba laptop. For no apparent reason, when in IE9, there are repeated error messages regarding DX20.exe and IE crashes out.

I have Office 2010 Student edition installed.

I have tried searching for the problem file, to no avail.

Malwarebytes, AVG and SpyBot all report OK

Registry Cleaner didn't find the problem.

Microsoft Knowledge Base doesn't appear to have a solution.

Can anyone advise how I can go about finding a solution to this problem, please?
