Windows 2k3 server Vpn Accounts

I am wanting to use my Win2k3 server Ras Pptp vpn server on accounts other
than the active directory accounts. I want to be able to define seperate
accounts - perhaps locally on the box - that i can use to authenticate
clients coming in. This is because i have another Pptp server on the network
now that is going away. That server had independent accounts that have been
set up for a number of clients. I'll want to use those same accounts on the
Win2k3 server Ras server for ease of transition. Can this, or something
similar, be done with the Win2k3 Ras server. Thanks

I am not sure why you want to that, but I think that should work. If not, what's the error code?

Well - really don't want to. It's so the users don't have to change a
password when we migrate equipment across sites. We currently have a
good Ras Pptp Vpn server(the other is a firewall that terminates pptp).
I need to make a case for it. What are some of the benefits of Win2k3
Ras for Pptp. Does it have a simultaneous connection limit? What
encryption method does it use? Thanks
