Windows 2003 Shuts down automatically

I get a message in my system log saying that the server
is not the primary domain controller and it will shut
down in 60 mins. Sure enough in 60 mins it shuts down.
Tbe problem is that when the server was setup as a
primary domain controller I could not access the server
from the pcs on the network.

They are on a different domain. They have a Linux Server
as their domain controller. The message tells me to
setup the domain controller and everything will be fine.
But I don't know how to make it so the pcs can access the
server being on different domains. I cannot change their
domain to this server.

How can I setup the domain controller and give people
access to the server from different domains?? I am
running Windows 2003 Small Business Server Premium
Edition.

That error will occur if the environment contains other Domain Controllers,
and
those domain controllers are FSMO role holders.

To resolve this issue, transfer the FSMO roles to the SBS Server,
specifically the
Operations Master role.

Is there any way not to have the SBS server be the domain
controller? I can't switch the roles. What if I
installed the regular Windows 2003 server?
