Windows 2003 Server RAS/Routing

My windows 2003 server is being assigned a RAS ip address from DHCP once a
VPN connection is established. When you ping the server by name it then
reports the RAS ip not the NIC ip. Is there a way to stop WINS and DNS from
updating to the RAS ip from DHCP
 
Sure, you can configure RRAS to register only IP address in the DNS and WINS. This link may help,
