Windows 2003 Pop3 problem

Hi all,

I had a little problem with this recently, and then not for ages, until
today, and I think I might have worked out why.

The problem was that when I logged into the server and opened Outlook to
check emails etc I had 6 accounts that failed to login successfully, all of
these accounts are ones that pick up mail from this server etc, ie this
server has the Windows 2003 Pop component installed (via Manage Your Server
/ Roles etc).

Was a bt confused with this the first time round, managed to find out how to
change the passwords for the accounts, so I set them all again, tested it
and it was fine.

Logged off the other day, logged in today, same problem.

I think the problem is caused by the 'logging off' - as usually (as this is
a development server) I just leave the box to go into 'locked' mode and
leave it like that, it does seem somewhat of a coincidence that the logging
off and credentials check keep failing together.

Was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem, I cant determine
whether its a case of the passwords stored for the email accounts just get
dropped when I log off, or whether its something not kicking in in time
before I open Outlook when logging in.

Any help would be really appreciated, its getting a bit of a pain to have to
keep changing these passwords to resolve the problem!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards

Rob

Are the six accounts set up so that their passwords never expire and
the user cannot change password?
