Windows 2003 Child Domain with a Windows 2000 Root Domain

I was wondering if I can install a new child domain with a Windows 2003
DC into a Root domain that only has Windows 2000 DC servers?

Yes, you will need to do the K3 adprep /forestprep first though.

Forestprep doesn't require any reboot on the client or DC side.

BTW: if you have Windows 2003 R2 CDs You can consider doing forestprep
using ADPREP from R2 disc.
