If changes are made to increase the size of this memory,
can it have a negative affect on the operation of Windows
2000? I did so, and now my internet connection seems to be
gone and my applications are not operating properly. Any
ideas as to what I need to do to correct or reverse this
situation? Thanks.

Can't see how changing the size of the pagefile would do this unless you decreased it significantly and don't start out with a lot
of RAM, such as <64M but you said you increased it. I guess anything's possible; could try to change it back and see if bad things
still occur.
