Windows 2000 Update Rollup 1 for SP 4 systems

An update of this nature is all well and good until it causes more problems
than it solves.

I run a network of Windows 2000 servers and clients that is fully patched.
This update was installed, and immediately EVERY computer took nearly 45
minutes to "prepare network connections". When I finally managed to log in to
computers and uninstall the update, everything is back to normal.

I'm not sure whether Microsoft is aware this update can cause such
horrendous logon issues, despite the patches it includes working fine when
installed individually?
