Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 unlicensed server. I shared one of my drives
for accessing by

clients. I find that the server is limiting the number of clients in
accessing the shared drive.

Can anyone explain what is the cause, what is the allowed number of
clients for accessing a

shared drive?

Thanks,

GVN

Is the "server" using Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Professional? What
do you mean by unlicensed server? Win2k Pro has a limit of 10 connections.
This is hard coded and cannot be bypassed. To get more than 10 connections
you need to use a server OS like Windows Server, Linux, etc..
