I was trying to upgrade my operating system from ME to
Windows 2000. Somehow I did a clean install of Windows
2000 instead of upgrading. Now I have 2 operating systems
on my computer. I have to select during bootup either
2000 or ME. How can I remove Windows 2000 from my pc in
order to start over the upgrade process and not have 2
operating systems. I do have the restore disk and thought
that might be the way I should go, is to start over from
the beginning. All comments are welcome.

Thanks
Dale

It is not possible to do an inplace upgrade from Windows ME to Windows 2000,
since Windows ME was released after Windows 2000.

A clean installation of Windows 2000 is your only option, although even if
an upgrade option was offered, I still wouldn't recommend you used it.

Oli

It is not bad having two OSes to use sometimes. You can check new software
in one version or if one fails to use the other one. If you do not want the
selection at startup of which OS to use, you can edit the Startup and
Recovery of the W2K My Computer Properties. Right-click My
Computer>>Properties>>Advanced>>Startup and Recovery>>Default Operating
System
