Windows 2000 Professional - PPTP and NetBIOS over TCP/IP

I am trying to configure a PPTP VPN connection to a PPTP server. I can
connect from Windows XP clients and all other Windows 2000 Pro clients.
However, there is one client that will not connect and I believe it has
something to do with the protocols/services installed on it.

I observe that on this one client, the "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" option
under TCP/IP Advance settings (WINS tab) is not available. In fact, none of
the NetBIOS settings are available (not just grayed out.....simply not there).

However, if I go into the TCP/IP settings of the NIC itself, I find this
section with the options available.

It'd be great if someone could shed light on this.

Thanks!

What exactly happens? does it refuse to connect? or it do connect but can't
communicate with other machines behind the VPN server?
