Windows 2000 - Powerpoint

I am trying to circumvent the automatic workstation lock. I want to run a
powerpoint presentation continuously, however, the lock stops it. The screen
saver will run on top of it though. We use Windows 2000 and PP 2000. I can
see a way to turn my presentation into a screensaver on this version of
Windows.

I saw the links to do it with XP, but is there a way to do it with Windows
2000. Also, since it is a customer's computer I'm using....I'm learing of
using a 3rd party program to create one.....which may be the only way.

Thanks!

Hi Chuck,

I do not think you will be able to do what you want without the assistance
of your IT people. Any good IT person can force your screen saver to
activate in XX minutes and require a password login, and have any changes to
these settings revert back to 'their' settings on each login. I think you
might be far better off talking with them and explaining your needs,
listening to their concerns, and trying to find a workable compromise.

Any computer could be loaded with PPT to screen saver software and the
resultant scr file sent to the computer you want to run it on, but again,
the IT department can (and probably should) block all but the known scr
files from executing.
