Windows 2000 Permissions using Novell Zenworks

Hi,



We use Zenworks on all our desktops (Windows 2000) for easy desktop
management but we receive this error when loading an Oracle database from
our Novell Application window. Error is FRM-21011L/SQL unhandled exception
ORA-06502.



If however we load the DB from a windows shortcut, say in the Quick Launch
Tray, we receive no such error and the database operates as normal.



The error only occurs when using Windows 2000. If using Windows 98, the
Oracle DB operates without errors.



In a bid to correct this we granted some users local Admin privileges and
also Novell Administrator privileges but the problem remains.



Can anyone suggest anything?

First of all, Get that virus off your systems...!

Another thing... I do not recommend or support any Windows / Novell environments

Also, I am sure there is a Novell newsgroup out there somewhere... FIND IT!

Blue and Red don't mix well. Next be sure your version of Zenworks is Win2k
compatable not just the Novell client. The IPX client in Win2k works but
half ass be sure to use only the TCP/IP protocol.

What version of Novell client are you using and same with Zenworks? There
are some issues with the newer Novell clients and unpatched Zenworks. In my
case, I can only use version 4.83sp1 until the server side get patched. If
I use 4.83sp2 or 4.9, I cannot use the Application Launcher.
