Windows 2000 File & Printer Sharing

We have a network with 3 computers connected to a router.
I can ping the other two computers using static IP
addresses, but cannot get any of the computers to appear
in the "My Network Places","Computers Near Me."

Does anyone have a fix for the problem?

Make sure that they are not using personal firewalls, that they are on the
same network address, usually class c where the fist three octets are the
same as in 192.168.1.xxx or such using ipconfig /all to view tcp/ip address
and that they all have file and print sharing installed/enabled in network
connections/properties or view [net config server] on each machine. ---

We have three machines networking-two machines are
behaving fine and one is not. I did ipconfig and compared
the three machines. Everything matches, except that when
doing ipconfig, the one machine not working
prints "NetBIOS over Tcpip: Disabled". The second and
third machines does not list this. Does this mean
anything?
