hi
the Windows 2000 clients log to the IIS 6.0 without authentication
- the user has the prompt requesting username and password but if user
presses OK 3 times it passes the current user login to the Login prompt and
logs the user...
- we donot have this behaviour in Windows XP client....

Current IE configuration
Trusted Sites - Prompt for username and password
(Site requested is in the allow list)
Intranet - Prompt for username and password
(no site in bypass list)

Just for grins, check the settings in IE between the Win2K boxes and the
WinXP boxes, specifically the security sections specifying Integrated logon
behavior for the different site groups.
