Bob

during my HDD replacement , the PC technician attempted
to install WIN XP twice accidentally.!!!!!!!!!!!!
although i hav managed to get rid of oneWIN XP, but the
windows folder in C:
is named as "WINDOWS.0" instead of "WINDOWS".
Can i change this name to WINDOWS by editing the boot.ini
file in advanced properties of system.?
Would there be any harm if i edit boot.ini?
Hoping for the reply.
Thanx

Hi Bob,

Do not change anything about the system folder, leave it as is. Leave
boot.ini alone as well. There is nothing wrong with having the installation
in windows.0, but if you start changing the names you will have problems.
