Window XP shutdown problems.

I just built myself a new pc and bought xp, and
everything is running great, but it wont shut down, when
I click shut down it says its shutting down, then
restarts. Anyone got any ideas about what this could be?

hi,
Try shutting down using command prompt

type "shutdown -s" in command prompt without the quotation
marks and then strike enter.

I don't guarantee that it will work just try that.
