WINDOW SHUTTING DOWN

GENTLEMEN:
I HAVE A WINDOW XP COMPAQ 6016. FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS,
ANYTIME AFTER USING THE COMPUTER, WHEN I CUT IT OFF
GIVING ME THE MESSAGE "WINDOW IS SHUTTING DOWN" IT DID
SHUT DOWN, BUT IT COMES RIGHT BACK ON REPEATING THE SAME
INTRODUCTION. PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
