Window Picture and Fax Viewer

I am having a problem with my Window Picture and Fax Viewer when it comes to
receiving pictures by e-mail. When I save pictures to My Pictures and click
on a picture I can stroll from picture to picture with no problem.

When I have pictures e-mail to me and I try to look at them the problem I am
having when I stroll through them is that every logo, symbol, picture that is
on any site that I have visited shows up. It does not happen if I click on
each picture individually but if I try to scroll though them all these items
show up as a default picture....

Is there anyway to stop this??

You already know the solution, i.e. Save to a particular folder
(My Pictures) images arriving by email.

The point is that when your email browser receives an email
via Internet it copies the individual email file (plus attachments)
to your own PC (from your ISP's server computer.) This act
of copying requires a place to put the copy, i.e. a Folder
filepath within your PC. This is usually a subfolder of
"Temporary Internet Files" (which is managed by the / Control
Panel / Internet Options.)

These multiple Temp Internet subfolders are also used to
store all the images you see on web pages, for rapid reloading
when you go back a second time to any particular web page.
So the new photo of your grandchildren is stored among all
the other graphic files (menus, trademarks, advertisements etc.)
that accumulate in your Temp Internet subfolders -- so if you
view it in that storage location you have to wade through all
the other junk first.

There are various different ways to simplify or avoid this.
The simplest is probably:
1. Set up two different / My Pictures folders, one for permanent
long-term storage, the other for everything new or current.
2. SAVE TO / My New Pictures any email attachment of
interest and view it there.
3. When browsing through /My New Pictures you can
select and MOVE to /My Picture Collection individual items,
just to keep the total number conveniently manageable.
4. It is your choice whether to keep fax images with photos
or in a folder of their own. Most fax software lets you select
where to keep file copies.
