window is busy

Win 98 SE
IE 6; had IE 6, SP1, but uninstalled it & installed IE 6,
SP0

I have scanned with Norton [ local ] & @ panda & @ trend
micro.

I have run ad-aware basic with latest updates, spybot 1.3
with latest updates, "hijack this" & removed all malware,
cw shredder.

I tried to search this newsgroup for "busy", but received
a "system error".

I have NOT downloaded 323734.

The problem is that, about a minute after the desktop
appears, multiple windows appear, informing me that "The
Window is busy. Closing this window may cause
problems...".

The owner of the computer, 1 of my customers, doesn't
think he downloaded update 323734.

checked Windows Update installation history on the
computer & at Microsoft's Windows update site. There is no
evidence there that update 323734 was installed.

Prior to my work on the PC, my customer had uninstalled
NetZero, in his efforts to fix the problem.

My efforts to determine the cause, before posting here,
include:

Virus scan - Norton, Panda, Trend Micro;

Ad-aware, Spybot;

HiJack this;

CWShredder;

clean boot troubleshooting;

manually remove remnants of NetZero;

repair IE 6 SP1;

obtain latest updates to IE6;

uninstall IE 6 SP1, reboot; no problem, re-installed IE 6
SP1;

re-installed NetZero - problem returns

Uninstall Netzero and manually remove remnants, problem
does away.

I apologize for not posting all of the above information
during my original post.
