window dragging

can someone tell me how to stop a window pane
from showing a trail when i move it to another
location on the screen?

Buy a faster computer or run fewer programs.
If I understand you correctly I think this is an sign that your
computer is running at full berzingue, if you'll pardon my French.

What do you mean "showing a trail"? If the window contents are not
showing, then go to Control Panel>System>Advanced tab. Click on the top
button and you will see where you can enable "show window contents while
dragging".

If this is not what you mean, then please post back with more details.
We would need to know something about your computer - its make, age,
amount of memory, video card - and also if this is a new problem. If it
is a new problem, what changed between the time things worked and the
time they didn't?

This can and will happen if the following is set

Go to Control Panel\Mouse\Pointer Options\Visibility and remove the checkmark from Display Pointer Trails
