Dragging files from window to window screws up display

Hi. I just got this Dell PC around 3 months ago. One problem I have is that when dragging multiple files from one folder to another within my C drive, the file outlines actually trail across the screen from the 1st folder window to the next. Does this make sense. For example: If I have to windows open, one for Folder A and one for Folder B. I select 10 files from folder A and drag them into Folder B. The drag works and the files are moved, but an outline of the files moved remain on the screen tracing the whole drag path. It even leaves a trail across my main window display if I move across that

I literally have to refresh any windows my drag may have traced across.

Does this make sense to anyone? Can anyone help me? Please. Thank

Jim JK

Somethings wrong with your windows install. Possibly a
Refresh setting within your registry. Never seen the
problem, so I would just refresh your desktop whenever it
happens. May get annoying but not much you can do.

Select the files, right click on one of the selected
files, choose cut (or copy), move to the other window and
right click on an empty spot and choose paste. I have no
idea what the problem is, but this will let you work
around it until you find a fix. There are just too many
things that could cause your problem for anyone to try to
iterate them all here.

If your PC is still under warranty, take it back to the place you
bought it from. This is most likely a problem with yor graphic card
(settings or hardware) or maybe screen monitor.

At Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance, Click Settings -
Take Custom and in the pane uncheck 'show windows contents while
dragging'. Indeed I'd suggest unchecking all the top ten - the
eye-candy is of little benefit and some uses a surprising amount of CPU
power
