windos dissapears when minamised

this is the second time this has happened , but i have just buil a new pc
with a new windows profesional, i am using quick launch but tried without it
and no different , when i minamise a window or windows they dissapear to the
bottom left corner and i have to use task manager to open them again and im
about to throw the whole thing in the swimming pool! does anyone please know
what my problem is.
